90 Minutes in Heaven

a True Story of Death & Life
Apr 12, 2012
Interesting book, competently written. I agree with the poster who says it's more about the author's recovery than his time in heaven - not quite what I was expecting, somehow, though I was glad of what he did say. However, he lost me when he wrote about sitting in a cafe with a friend and they looked around and thought that probably the place was full of "lost" people who were "going to hell". I will never understand how people who believe in a loving God, can also believe in hell. I suppose it's a Southern Baptist hellfire-and-brimstone approach but unfortunately that negates the very origins of Christianity, in which Jesus died for all our sins. For a much more interesting book on time spent in heaven, I would recommend "Heaven is For Real" by Todd Burpo.
