I really wanted to like this book because I like myth and this myth is not one that has been updated much. However, I felt the the characters were under-developed and after a few chapters, I just did not care much what happened to them. I liked what the author did with the minotaur, but I have seen this before in the film Beowulf. Overall, it was uneven. The point of view changed and while I typically am not bothered by this (it can be fun because the reader gets in the head of more than just one character), this one was confusing and did nothing to develop an emotional connection.
