The cozy villages of Midsomer County reveal their most sinister secrets in these four contemporary British television mysteries. The Dogleg Murders -- A peaceful afternoon on the links turns fatal when a man is bludgeoned at the notoriously difficult 13th hole. The crime scene is a high-status local golf club that has long stirred up resentments between the moneyed members and villagers clamoring for a taste of luxury. Barnaby's investigation sees him coping with haughty club members, sibling rivalry, and the icy Eileen Fountain--the club's domineering manager.

"The Dogleg murders" accents the gulf between the members and the non-members of an exclusive golf club. Someone starts murdering with a golf club and intends to keep on. The murderer not only keeps a bent and bloody golf iron and his get away outfit that would nail him to the floorboards. Stupid not to get rid of the evidence. Then there is the mother seems to be borrowing money to the "hoity-toity" members and wants a big, big return on it.

Episode 67 in the series. An upscale golfclub is the scene for jealousy, secret gambling and a fatal bludgeoning on the green ! - ( my dad's golf club never had this much excitement )
Very good story of snobbery and hatred in the local club.
