I like the way this comic directly demonstrates (I think) a floating timeline. You see a novice Peter Parker teaming up with the original five X-men (both reminescent of the '60's) againest Kraven and the Blob. Then you see Spider-man in a black symbiote costume more or less during the events of "Kravens last hunt" meet a few of the other X-men who joined after the original five during the events of the late 80's story "Mutant massacre".After that you see how Mr.Sinister was involved in all this when a 90's "clone saga" era Spider-man and a group of X-men (including Wolverine but without any adamantium just like between 1993-1999) confront Sinister and Carnage. Then finally it takes you to the post M-day era.I liked the art through out the graphic novel.
