"It's the 22nd century and, because of climate change, much of England is underwater. Poor Lilly is out fishing with her trusty sea-cat when greedy raiders pillage the town--and kidnap the prime minister's daughter. Her village blamed, Lilly decides to find the girl. Off she sails, in secret. And with a ransom: a mysterious talking jewel. 'If I save his daughter,' Lilly reasons, 'the prime minister's sure to reward me.' Little does Lilly know that it will take more than grit to outwit the tricky, treacherous piratical tribes!" --From the publisher.

Exciting, fast-paced, and a little haunting when you recognize pieces of our world in the wreck of theirs.

I LOVED this book I read it when I was nine and i couldn't put it down!! I recommend this book to anyone.

Lilly and her seacat live in a small village with Lilly's grandma in the Last Ten Counties and are a harmless team of fishers.
Zeph lives in the marshes with his father and their Family and are raiders.

The year is 2226.

What am I talking about? You'll have to read the book to find out.
Let's just say... I wish I could give this book more stars!!! I couldn't put it down!!!!!;D

Set in the 25th century this is an adventure tale that takes place in a partially flooded Britain after the Great Collapse and Flood. There is a super female protagonist, Lilly, who sails her own boat up the coast and into right into the hands of the Angel Isling raiders. An exciting read and highly recommended.
