Filmed before a live audience in New York City, this offers a front-row seat to the former heavyweight champion's hit one-man stage show, both of which were directed by Academy Award nominee Spike Lee. Raw, honest, powerful and full of humor, it features Tyson recounting his life's highs and lows. He opens up about such subjects as his troubled youth, landmark boxing career, time in prison, and family with the same charisma he showed in the ring.

Interesting and very well done one-man autobiographical play. His lisp makes some of the dialogue hard to understand. I could watch this a few more times.

I highly recommend reading his excellent 600 page book first. You'll have a better backstory to some of his DVD tales. And yes, there's enough F-bombs etc in the DVD that would make even Dave Chappelle blush. I know Tyson worked with vocal and speech coaches over the years but his too rapid fire delivery had me use the English subtitles - public speakers please note - slow and steady wins the race.

I was slightly confused when the audiences laughed in the first 20 mins of the DVD - Mike describing the hood and the sorrow that went with it. I guess I'm not as comfortable in the jungle as New Yorkers are. But there are some good chuckles when he talks about Robyn Givens and Mitch Green. He's very good at laughing at himself as well.

It's the classic "kid from the hood, rise to fame , lose it all, find religion/redemption" story - the tale never gets old and is always inspirational.

Mike Tyson captures the audience with with humour and frank discussion about his life. I recommend this for any lover of biography, documentary or theatre.

Not what I was expecting. Tyson was great. I was stunned by the stories and explicit details. Lots of cussing but WOW! If you remember Tyson coming up through boxing and how truly great he was before his very public fall you will enjoy this! No one is off limits in this one man show! From Robin Givens (we all knew she was a gold digger...don't lie) to Don King, an even bigger gold digger!!! A definite watch, boxing fan or not.
