This is the first book I’ve ever read from Tamera Alexander and I already love her style of writing. I absolutely loved this book!
McKenna goes through such a hard life and so many struggles but even as she sometimes struggles with coping and not loosing hope, it really impressed me how she manages to trust in God and fully let go and let him break her in order so that He can heal her.
Something to learn from this book is that the life of a Christian is not easy but God Himself will always be there for you and He will never let you go through something that He knows you can’t handle.

McKenna reaches Copper Creek, CO in 1877 with her rebellious teenage brother. Little did she know that she would find her friend Janie, widowed and dying. Before she dies, Janie leaves her young child and ranch to McKenna. Things are complicated for her by the presence of a U.S. Marshall in their lives. This novel gives the reader both sides of Wyatt and McKenna’s story as they work through painful pasts and present troubles with love and faith in God.

I love Christian romances. This one did not disappoint. A little more "grown up" than anything by Janette Oke, but good stuff.
