FANTASTIC book. I have to believe that Connelly wrote this himself instead of many other "older" authors, like Patterson who puts out a huge number of books all written by his co-authors

It was not bad, but not great either. Not one of Connelly's best. It started well, but started dragging about half way through. The ending came up fast and was a surprise. I was disappointed to see Connelly using one of his books to push his own political biases. This is something we are seeing more of lately by many authors. This is always a mistake by an author, as he can only offend at least half of his readers, and I am sure he has done so here.

I really enjoyed this book. Hands down the best gotcha courtroom scene in all of the Micky Haller series. Connelly weaves a great story and how he ties in other novels is brilliant.

Four stars...

Because...
It's a Lincoln Lawyer novel, featuring protagonist Mickey Haller in his 6th and best novel yet.
Great courtroom drama--and lots of "Haller" type sardonic humour

The gang's all here--including Mick's two former wives, investigator Cisco, half-brother, retired LAPD detective/cold case sleuth, Harry Bosch in a supporting role--ready to assist Mickey defend himself from a charge of murder.

Clever, witty, and steeped in meticulous research by one of America's most popular crime novelists.

And...because It's one of the most enjoyable novels I've read in months.

Skilled storytelling, as is par for the course for Connolly. This is my least favorite in both the Bosch and Haller series. The main focus is on Mickey Haller, and the other characters are relegated to background/supporting characters for the story, and frankly, Haller isn't a likeable enough person for me to have enjoyed this as much as I had hoped to.

Pretty good stuff.... detailed thoughts, words, on how he/one might prepare for court, how it really works, dealing with judges, other lawyers, police, contingency planning, etc...... not a whole lot of loose ends, either. Went very quickly

Great read by Michael Connelly. I always picture Matthew Mcconaughey as I am reading as he was in The Lincoln Lawyer movie. The lawyer talk is a bit tricky to understand for the layman. I enjoyed the book nontheless. My first time reading an eBook from the Cloud Library.

As always, Michael Connelly never disappoints me. I have read all his books. I couldn't put down this book when I started reading it and finished it literally in 1 1/2 day. Look forward to the next one.

Michael Connelly's books are always page turners, and this one is no exception. While I prefer Connelly's Bosch series, this Lincoln Lawyer entry featuring criminal defense attorney Mickey Haller being charged and taken to trial for murder of a former sleazeball client is a good read, and Bosch makes a cameo appearance as part of Haller's team looking for evidence to clear him. Recommended for fans of legal thrillers.

An excuse for a murder mystery. Mr Connelly used a book concept to give us his personal views on none other than Donald Trump and total disdain for those who voted for him. I used to be a fan. We all know the press never lies and I'm assuming Mr. Connelly considers himself in that category. What a waste of ink and paper. Thank you public library for buying this book so I didn't have to waste my hard earned dollar on it.
