I really enjoyed this almost page-turner book. It is a story of overcoming obstacles in a world of endless trials. The range of history from Switzerland to California was well done. I thoroughly enjoying books where something can be learned and appreciated, and her colorful descriptions where needed and brevity in places not needed was a breath of fresh air. It mentions is a part I. Hope to find part II.

A wonderful story of true Christian faith throughout the life of a Swiss girl from before WWI to after WWII, ranging from Switzerland to France to England to Canada to mid-western US to California. Well written, complex believable characters, sorrow and joy... one of the best books I've read.
