Harry Potter: A Journey Through a History of Magic is a wonderful addition to the series. This book gives readers further insight into the Hogwarts curriculum, which is very exciting and interesting to Harry Potter fans. It has a similar idea to Harry Potter: A History of Magic, but is completely unique, and has new content of its own. I really enjoyed reading this book, and being able to learn more about the Hogwarts school subjects that fascinate me. I would highly recommend this book to other readers, specifically hard-core Harry Potter fans who are craving more details of the wizarding world! @PenelopeScriptor of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

Harry Potter: A History of Magic is a fantastic addition for hard-core Harry Potter fans. It further develops the Potterverse, and gives more details into the history of the wizarding world. To some, this book may seem bizarre or boring, put to a fan, it is absolutely wonderful! Since you can’t go to Hogwarts, learning more about their school subjects, history, and magical creatures, along with seeing some ancient scrolls and artifacts, is the next best thing! I very much enjoyed this addition, and found the information very interesting. It also shows how thoroughly J.K Rowling created the wizarding world, and helps bring it to life! I would highly recommend that other Harry Potter fans read it as well! @PenelopeScriptor of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

Review By The Tiny Astronaut I've been always excited to read something related to Harry Potter, and here I am, talking about the history of the magical world; having a myriad of incredible things happened which nothing has ever been like nor imagined; I'm sure you can imagine how excited I am. The book was divided into nine chapters, each has their own story: the first one is "the Journey", allows you to travel among the magical world; and once you are "warmed up", there comes the main story which is the courses. Starting with Potions and Alchemy, then Herbology, Charms, Astronomy, Divination, Defence Against The Dark Arts, and Care of Magical Creatures. The last chapter was written as a summary. There were some pictures labelled as "kept in the British Library" which I doubt whether if it was true. However, the whole story is made up of myriad essays and paragraphs and each one of them is combined with as least one picture. This could help the readers (me personally) a lot, not just helping to comprehend, but also keep the story from getting boring. Since the book had been so ingenious in both setting and characterization, thus if I were to mark this book I would undoubtedly give 100. -@tiny_astronaut of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
