First time I have read this author. Distinctly feel the neighbourhoods, not sure of the portrayal of the main characters relationships, but it was a good read.

Grisly but well written cop drama about the hunt for both a serial killer & rapist. Although the author is German, it's set in Copenhagen so qualifies as Scandinavian noir.
The MC is a detective threatened by political intrigue at work & his own self destructive habits. It's an old & overused trope but you can't help rooting for Lars as everything crashes & burns around him.
As an aside, this is one of the best translations I've read with none of the stilted dialogue & awkward phrasing so prevalent in books translated for the North American market.
Not for the faint hearted.
