We thought it was a good flick, one of his best. When we watch Tom Cruise act we have to remind ourselves he is an actor and look past his weird personal life belonging to a cult.

Not a huge Tom Cruise fab, but he did a good job in this tale about greed, government corruption, drugs, and money, money, money.
Cruise is funny and likeable in this character, who a cross between an airline pilot family man and used car salesman con artist

In 2014, director Doug Liman and star Tom Cruise combined talent to create arguably the best Sci-fi movie of the year, Edge of Tomorrow. People had forgotten Tom Cruise could be funny. Some--including those who sneered at his second Jack Reacher flick ("Never go Back"--good advice!)--had forgotten he could really act. Edge made them remember everything. Critics loved Edge, and so did movie-goers. The feature earned three times its production cost. That, people, is a HIT.

Three years later, Director and star teamed up again for a film about a maverick pilot whose cargoes include automatic weapons and cocaine. Could the movie duo do magic again, with America Made? They could and did. Critics loved it. Movie-goers loved it. Again: the feature has earned three times its production cost. Rightly so.

Quirky and fast, American Made is likely 40% fact and 60% fantasy, but there's a lot of "truth" in even the fictitious narrative of the real-life ace pilot who found he craved the adrenalin rush, couldn't say no to the money (suitcases, plastic bags, rooms and, finally, a VAULT full of it) and then realized...he couldn't say no if he wanted to stay alive and keep his family that way, too. His (ahem) employers just won't let him leave. Even being suspected of moving on is dangerous. He's worth a ton of money but, in the end, he realizes, he's actually worth next to nothing.

Highly entertaining. And, at the same time, sadly sobering.

Boring, boring, boring. Tom Cruise can’t act unless he’s running around shooting people and blowing stuff up. This was a terrible movie.

Good movie! He's a drug runner working for the CIA, the FBI, Iran Contra, El Chapo and who knows who else - oh - don't forget Governor William Clinton. Well done - not sure who killed him but they couldn't let him live.

Interesting how all our different agencies used this guy for their own purposes then turn their backs on him when convenient. This movie does not show our Government in a good light but it is worth the viewing.

Facinating tale loosely based on real events. It's Tom Cruise at his best. Like all biopics, they take some liberties, but it is an entertaining tale.

We enjoyed this based-on-true-story movie. Not a Tom Cruise fan but this role was a bit different and he did a decent job of it. Entertaining with a good script. Watch the short clip about the real person in the bonus features to see photos.

Very entertaining. Worth the time.

Based on a true story but with plenty of liberties with the truth this pseudo-docudrama is quite entertaining. Tom gets to play a character that is not like himself for a change. If this story is even half true it’s pretty insane.
