Uneventful at first. It took about 3/4 the way into it for me to really be interested. Stick with it though - the ending is worth the wait.

I've read the majority of Denise Hunter's books and usually enjoy her books. However, this book is probably my least favorite.
The "baby of the family" thing with P.J. was kind of irritating after the first reference to it. The smells of the hair, etc. were really annoying. The sexual tension descriptions were beyond annoying.
False picture about foster teens and finishing school (another reviewer on here explained that and I agree).
I did not like the ending to the book. It seemed rushed in the end.
I'm glad I've read other books by Denise Hunter and didn't have just this one to form my opinion. Her Riverbend series is FAR better writing, if you want to read this author.I've read the majority of Denise Hunter's books and usually enjoy her books. Got 1/4 of the way through this book and I quit. Just couldn't get into it. I love Christian pioneer stories but this one was one I just didn't have any desire to pick up and read, although I tried time and time again. Excellent book to learn crocheting. Lots of good info and illustrations. It's so good that I ordered one from Amazon so I wouldn't continue checking this book out over and over again!

The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year was the best one of the six movies. Henry Winkler made that one. It was a cute, enjoyable movie.
The rest? - just ok. Nothing special.

Well, the dog was the best part of this movie.
It seemed like forced acting by the humans throughout the movie, in my opinion. Not natural.

Just average. Not that eventful. Pretty much confusing about pregnancy since Michael had died some time before.
It was clean and Christian based fiction - those were the positives.

I have read nearly all of Denise Hunter's books and she is one of my most favorite authors. Noah is a sweetheart even when he's angry and bitter. I felt for him through the entire book. I am an animal lover and I was worried about Kismet.
I can well relate to Josie's issues having had similar in my past and regret a lot of my own decisions, just as she did. Denise explained the insecurities so well. I could really relate to Josie and yet see Noah's side to it all. I still don't understand why Josephine cheated on Noah though. It was as though she wanted to sabotage her marriage.
I know the book was about Josie being promiscuous due to the circumstances of her life, so I understand the need for so much sexual content in the context of the past story. However, the trouble for me was with the descriptions of the romance/sexual past of Noah and Josie, plus all of the current feelings between Noah/ Josie. It was just all too descriptive and unnecessary for my taste. This is the first time I’ve read so much sexual content from a book Denise has written and I am not at all a fan. I hope she doesn't go this route again in her writing.
I read only Christian authors to escape all the sexual content so it’s disappointing for a favorite Christian author to go in that direction when she never has in her past books. There are certain Christian authors I stay away from for that very reason - too much sexual description and innuendo. Although Noah and Josie prayed, went to church, I felt the religious angle of this book was so below Denise's normal story lines. It's hard to explain, while I liked the book itself because Denise addressed the issues, I didn't think the Faith message had the same strength as her books usually have.
Spoiler alert: I didn't like the way the book ended. Again, too much sexual innuendo, even as a married couple. If I hadn't read other books by Denise, I would have stopped reading her books after this one.
Denise's books have beautiful covers and as I've said, I've read nearly all of them. This cover and plot description had me excited to read this book based on the other books I’ve read by Denise, but this one disappointed me.I have read nearly all of Denise Hunter's books and she is one of my most favorite authors.
